Shahrzad Talebi is a composer, educator, visual and sound artist from Tehran, Iran. Characterized by dense, visceral textures and a spontaneous rhythmic language, her sound-based compositions explore liminality across perception, human–machine agency, and intermedial relationships.

Her works have been recognized by the EMM Festival, SEAMUS (First Prize, 2026 Student Commissioning Competition), Punto y Raya Festival, Espacios Sonoros International Electroacoustic Music Festival, Ars Electronica Forum Wallis, CAST at dadalab, Splice Festival, Taproot New Music Festival, PMF~, Penn State New Music Festival, and the Toledo Symphony Orchestra reading session. Her works have been performed by Unheard-of//Ensemble, Splinter Reeds, The Experiment, and Dal Niente.

She holds a bachelor's degree in composition from Tehran University of Art and a master of music from Bowling Green State University. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in composition at the University of North Texas as a teaching fellow while exploring her interests in audio-visual, and immersive electronic music with emerging technologies.
